Since Mirage didnāt offer up that choice I am a bit skeptical if theyāll do it for Red. and it is a game I am highly expecting, I mean shogunate Japan? how cool. But tbh it will impact my choice to play it if I canāt pick a female protoganist, hence why I didnt buy mirage eitherā¦

mirageās āreturn to the rootsā unfortunately seemed to include the lack of female protags, lmao. itās such bullshit that they get away with adding a shitty āmale optionā for odyssey, but the moment itās back to the basics they stick with a guy.
they can write cool characters like eivor or kassandra, but then despite the female versions being canon, they just use the guys for advertising. itās never about actual representation, just money, which fucking sucks.

Dual protags, one is Yasuke and the other Naoe. It might be 50/50 split in playtime but my pessimism is telling me it’ll be like 70/30, I hope I’m wrong!

As an Iraqi I love Mirageā¦ I was happy just to get representation because when people think of Iraq itās always associated with Sara bc ruins and not the buildup architecture and history
