She looks normal, she looks hot and she looks unflattering at all different angles – just like regular people. WOW what a concept
It’s the same thing with Aloy. They need to take the least flattering still of her in the entire series to fit the culture war narrative they’re fronting.
She’s very conventionally attractive and she’s sexy. She’s got sass, confidence, even a flirty side – qualities associated with “sexy characters”. Are those people SURE they like women?
I hate that the conversation is always:

Like, why does it matter? I play God of War games despite personally finding Kratos very unattractive. It did not affect my enjoyment of the games at all.

Let’s be honest, the issue with Aloy, outlaw protagonist, lady from Chorus, Cera from Jedi, etc is not that they are not pretty. Personally I find them stunning and each in their own way and would never complain about their looks since they look like normal women to me.
The issue is daddy boys/toxic girls who want to see a character that either looks like a model or an actress from films for adults with small waist, jiggly boobs and a good butt, because that’s what they were raised to believe is normal and pretty. Which is also wrong.
Those unrealistic standards and society setting those standards for many years are very unhealthy. I’m not saying looking like a supermodel is unhealthy, I mean expecting all the women and man around you to look like a supermodel is unhealthy. It just fucks up the persons mind, changes the world perceptive, makes them feel entitled since that’s what they were raised with, not to mention rude to others. What’s even worth is that some countries still have those standards of “if you don’t look like a supermodel you are ugly” and these standards are passed to future generations.
What I’m trying to say is these comments calling mostly female protagonists ugly are disgusting. The only redeeming thought is the people who make them are likely still sitting at home and not really succeeding in life apart from being a troll. I hope one day they will get a harsh reality check and get out of this toxic thinking.

people who complain about “not following the IRL model enough” seem to misunderstand what basing off real face models are for, coz they seem to expect fidelity all the way to hairstyle and makeup XD face modeling is for the base facial structure and features.
