  1. I loved the first game, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice back in 2017. [Here’s my post](https://www.reddit.com/r/GirlGamers/comments/6t08wj/let_me_tell_you_why_you_should_play_hellblade/) about it from the time!

I’ve been seeing some talk on twitter about how the second game is getting a bit underwhelming marketing… it’s being published by Xbox/Microsoft, who also just shut down several midsize game studios despite making critically acclaimed games. 🙃

About the game itself: as I said I loved the first Hellblade, but I found it a very nicely “closed” narrative. I wonder where the game’s story goes next, but am mildly concerned by the fact that the [Steam page](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2461850/Senuas_Saga_Hellblade_II/) and trailers are super vague on anything concerning the plot?

Like I don’t need spoilers upfront, I loved going into the first game relatively blind, but I’m worried that the plot might end up feeling tacked on, since the first game had a very clear objective and ending and there wasn’t really a narrative demand for a direct continuation.

I will probably wait for some first reviews, but I did love Ninja Theory’s approach to the first game so much that I’m at the very least intrigued.

  2. I hope they bring it to Playstation. I’d lost hope on this game when it was announced, but with Sea of Thieves being on Playstation now and Xbox Studios seeming to be embracing a cross platform plan I feel like I have a hope on this again.

Loved the first one and so hope to get to play this one!

  3. I’m so hyped about it! Microsoft doesn’t deserve the money, but if it’s anywhere close to the first title, it’ll be a masterpiece and well worth it.

Time to listen to Heilung at work again!
