Going on a trip with a long drive soon, was thinking about buying a game to play during the ride/just in general.
I have been rewatching all the Disney movies recently with my bf who has never seen any, it's been really fun and awakened my inner child lol. I love relaxing sim games already like Palia so the idea of DDV intrigues me. Although I have heard complaints and issues about the game.
Ratchet and Clank and Psychonauts 2 both look like they would scratch that colorful sci-fi action-adventure itch I have. I'm leaning more towards P2 through reviews but l'm unsure. Probably the most indecisive person ever, I just want something fun to hyperfixate on for a while and enjoy myself on a long car ride.
Any advice is welcome if you've played these games and have opinions!
If you’ve played the first Psychonauts, get the second one. It’s sooooo good. Picks up where the first left off. I was addicted to it. I beat it in like a week because it was all i played
Dreamlight Valley may not be the best for a long road trip, because many times the quests rely on material collection, and those can be slightly timegated (they take various amounts of time to re-appear in the world once harvested.) When I played it more intensely, I found it was a better game to pick up and put down for maybe 30 minutes to an hour at a time, rather than playing consistently for hours. I think it would also start to feel really grind-y playing for that long.
I vote Rachet and clank. It is super fun! It’s def sci-fi adventure.
The second Psychonauts is incredibly fun! Haven’t played the other 2, so can’t really speak on them. It’s even better if you are an Invader Zim fan, because not only is Raz the same VA as Zim, but the VA for Gir is in the game as well! Jack Black too!
Psychonauts 2 is a fantastic game.
Ratchet and Clank is hilarious. Honestly one of the funniest game series ever made, you’ll have a blast with it!
Both Ratchet and Psychonauts 2 are fantastic.
Ratchet and Clank is incredibly fun! Easy to follow story and the game is a joy to play, everything feels right, and it’s also just a gorgeous game.
I’m biased because I’ve only played one of those games, but Ratchet and Clank is one of my favorite series and Rift Apart did not disappoint.
Ratchet and clank is a good one for fun gameplay.
I would say ratchet and crank would be the best. I cannot recommend Disney Dreamlight Valley at all unless you enjoy grindy, glitchy, and micro transaction filled with a side of fomo.
I played that game for a year and I’m so glad that I did not spend any extra money in that greedy game.
