I saw the above and it did something to my little goth brain. I need a PC that looks like a 18th century church window. However I have absolutely no idea who Lord Aethelstan is and so don’t want to buy a case themed around him, and which I’ve seen some poor reviews for.
So maybe I make one myself with some glass paint and a regular case. I am not given to artistic talent, I can’t lie, but perhaps it would work?
Or maybe I just get stickers and whack them inside the glass.
Has anyone ever tried either of those? Do you recommend? Or have you got any other methods which haven’t occurred to me yet? Thanks!
I’d go with adding a vinyl decal over a clear sided case. I suspect this isn’t actually stained glass but a decal/design applied to the tempered glass. You wouldn’t want normal stained glass because it will be much more fragile and you’ll get sharp shards if it breaks. I’d also be concerned about how well it’d handle the heat.
Perhaps you could coordinate with someone who does stained glass as a hobby to make some to size for you to replace plain glass panels in an otherwise plain case? I know there’s a club near me that does stained glass and some of them sell their pieces on the side.

I have absolutely no idea if this would work, but could you take the glass panels and put window color on it? You could print out a design you like, place it under the glass and trace it.
Given how durable that stuff is, it also wouldn’t be a problem if the PC heats up.

I’d definitely recommend gallery glass paint if you go the crafty route. I know there’s some great videos on how to make it really look like stained glass
I’ve seen a video of a person using vinyl stained glass filming for their windows for decor purposes. This looks like that’s the case here as well. Because a real thing would have had visible connections etc.
Pretty sure this is a decal. ‘Window film stained glass’ will give you tons.
Otherwise, if you DIY it I would look for those stained glass paints and paint the outside of the glass. Wash it well before, and print a template and put it under the glass. You might be able to find pre-made templates on etsy or pintrest or photoshop one. Keep in mind the edges of the glass and where the overlap is, I might mark it with a marker before taking it out. Don’t wanna scratch up your nice paint putting it back in.
Do test runs on dollar store / thrift store photo frame glass first.
I’d also consider only one glass panel case, with the front being fans for cooling.
it says in the item description that is it UV printed stained glass.
if you are comfortable with drawing, look around for windows colours. those can really wasy be scraped of again.
on the other hand if you wand clear lines and nor drawing by hand, look for vinyl film for glass. there are lots of options.
I have an Ironside Case and can confirm it’s just vinyl* over a clear panel. I absolutely love it though.

It’s probably plastic. My dad makes stained glass windows for a living and they are expensive and would not be that well lit naturally (the red would be darker). They’re meant to either be lit by the sun or lights.
I’ve done this! I used gallery glass paints and their liquid leading. My tips for this would be to buy the clear glass paint for any empty patches, as the texture elevates it so much to look like real glass, and I also bought some very fine needle tips for more detail in the leading. I loved how it turned out and would totally recommend! That said, window decals are probably way easier if you can find ones you like.

Then I put it on the inside of my glass case and it looks pretty damn cool imo
You could probably find something more akin to stained glass, but same idea. Way easier and cheaper than having a proper stained glass case
I don’t know if they still make it, but when I was little, they made this craft kit that had translucent resin you painted with on plastic sheets. Once it dried, it was sticky enough or it could suction well enough or something that it would stick to windows. So that may be a cheap crappy DIY option. Stickers sound easier.
