RELATABLE.
My BG3 playthoughs each is an exercise in a “how to romance Gale one more time but *differently*”. I have ideas for at least three more + one Gale origin playthrough to maybe romance someone else for a change, lol.

If you’re not covered in blood during your romance scenes are you even playing the game?
I kept all my Gale cutscenes saved so I can go back to them whenever I start to miss him too much. It’s the only thing that’s keeping me loyal in other playthroughs. 😂

I am on my 6th playthrough. I have successfully romanced…Gale…6 times. In my head I am going to romance someone else, but the moment I hear, “oof. Hello, I’m Gale of Waterdeep”…I’m done.
I’m like this with Lae’zel. I have two playthroughs that made it to the end of Act 3 and I romanced Lae’zel both times, it’s hard to say no to her.
I did in my brand new playthrough though, I want to try and romance Minthara this time.
I’m glad Gale is getting some appreciation. My old friend group used to hate on him and Wyll so much
Kinda off topic, but does anyone else just love turning each character into a different class? Like even if I want a wizard, I make sure Gale isn’t them.
I like monk Astarion, Cleric Karlach, Barbarian Gale, Bard Shadowheart, Cleric Wyll
Meanwhile Shadowheart and I are no where to be found (we’re at the beach 😼)
I tried to romance Astarion in my 2nd playthrough and got bored and made a new playthrough where I once again romanced Gale. 🤦♀️

Relatable, but it’s Astarion for me. I just can’t say no to him… I absolutely have a type. 😂
I’ve always found Gale to be an annoying and arrogant smarmy man – even/especially with his story developed. But, then again, there might be a reason why I’m a lesbian. Karlach is perfect.
Once I was playing bg3 after having gone out and was fairly tipsy. I was playing my durge character who is fighting her durge instincts.
I had been trying to get her to romance astarion since he seemed most OK w her first durge related action. Somehow, all that night, she ended up flirting with Gale, then danced with/kissed Wyll, then Gale got SO sad and told her Wyll was a better man than he (in the HOUSE OF HEALING of all places… pls) and I felt so bad that I had her tell Gale she’d stay with him.
I woke up the next morning and was like well … I guess she’s dating Gale now. Astarion romance plan thwarted.
Gale is annoying to me lol but he is very good at being sad puppy.

I’m currently romancing him on my Karlach origin run and it’s TOO perfect. They are so adorable together ❤️
I haven’t even played BG3 yet but from screenshots alone, him and Astarion have me in a chokehold.
I’ve also had a really difficult time romancing anyone else.
With my current character (an OOA Pally), I actually managed to resist Gale (I had no idea paladins could cast that! :D), and, instead, I went with Shadowheart and Halsin, which has been surprisingly fun. For anyone who tries this… I highly recommend a visit to a certain establishment near the city of Baldur’s Gate. 😛
He’s SMOOTH. I thought about leaving Wyll for him in my first run (which is at the end of act 3, co-op with my partner, I’m waiting for the patch to finish it).
Currently on a solo Durge with Astarion and I’m down bad for him. 😭 So I think this will be me with Astarion every file now.
On my slightly evil playthrough (I’m incapable of being too mean) I romanced minthara and as much as I absolutely adore her I STILL FELT LIKE I WAS CHEATING ON KARLACH

So I just have to say this. If you get a sponge, or have a create water spell, you can use it to clean off blood.
You can also clean up blood on the ground with frost to create water, then fire to evaporated the water.
It’s very handy if you don’t want to look like a blood soaked mess. I mean, unless you’re into that.
