I have been eying cult of the lamb for sometime now.. the game is currently on sale in eshop, it’s now usd 19.99 from usd 40, the game on sale includes the game + 3 DLC’s.
But I’m also a physical game girlie, but this deal in the eshop is making me rethink… but again, the physical copy has my heart!
Is it better to have the digital or physical copy of the game? And if I get the physical can I download all the dlc’s there? Are the dlc’s in cult of the lamb even worth it???
Pls help me and answers will be kindly appreciated!
it’s really just up to your preference, but i think physical is generally better since you actually own the game and you can find cheap copies on ebay for a lot of games
It feels like a different lifetime where I bought my games physically (on CDs or for the Gameboy), I don’t even engage with physical games anymore! Everything I got is right there on my steam account… what’s your worry about not wanting to get it digitally? The sales are imo often worth it.
If it’s for collection purposes that you prefer the physical version, you could get it digitally now, and if you love it you can still get the physical version later.
You can buy it now as digital and later if you prefer to have it as physical you can go for it.
At that price you might as well get the physical copy for $24.99 at Walmart or wait for an e-shop sale of $12.49.
To answer your question about the DLC, they’re purely cosmetic. It’s just furniture and different animal types for your cultists. All the expansions/added content are simply free with the latest version of the game. You can always buy the base game for a few bucks less and grab the DLC after you decide if you like the game. Each pack goes on sale periodically.
I definitely still like my physical media, but I no longer mind downloading indie games that are so small they can just live on my SD card forever. I don’t remember COTL being very big. There’s a VERY active sub btw r/cultofthelamb
