I always use mousiturizing creams for my dry hands and it sometimes leaves marks, and my mirror is sometimes place on my mousepad left.. dust marks???
also the red spot,, i ate tomato soup in my room and i think i spilled some on accident ๐ญ
does anyone have tips for cleaning? i tried water, nailpolish, it doesnt come off ๐
i have an osume desk mat
I wash my mat every month or so. I wet it in the sink and put some dish soap on it, and scrub it on itself to clean it. Then rinse it out with the same method and let it airdry.ย
I don’t use a washing machine since mine was a limited edition and I’m scared of ruining it
True documentaries had taught me to use **Hydrogen Peroxide** to clean stains. You use a soft brush like a toothbrush and gently work a generous amount on the stain until it’s gone. Ever since I learned this trick, it works even when I have to deal with period stains. ๐ฅฒ
If you have a micellar makeup remover (without added vitamin C, hyaluronic acid etc.) you can try rubbing some on the spot with a cotton pad, then wiping away with a clean cloth. I’ve been able to remove tomato stains this way without leaving a bleach mark, like some cloth stain removers do.
I put desk mats in the washing machine and then take them out to air dry. Always gets them clean, never had any issues.
I wash mine by hand, just regular hand soap and those nail brushes, it works perfectly everytime
I use dawn dish detergent in the bathtub. Gentle scrubbing only.
You could try a Tide stick on the food stains. Another thing to try is baby wipes! They’re surprisingly good at cleaning anything.
If the above doesn’t work, use a bit of water and a drop of dish soap and spot clean the bigger contact stains. I’d take a dry towel to wipe and draw away excess water so it air dries faster.
I use laundry detergent and a sponge to softly clean and scrub my mousepad ๐ Then I wrap it in a big towel and pat it dry before I set it out to air dry! Sometimes I use a hairdryer on the coldest setting if I wanna speed it up ๐
Here’s an old wive’s trick that Ive used to get rid of awful stains in a lot of different fabrics.
* Dish soap
* Lemon juice
* Vinegar
* Hydrogen Peroxide
* Baking soda
Measurements aren’t strict, just mix a little of everything together in a jar or glass. Warning: it will foam up significantly. Scrub the affected area gently with an old toothbrush or similarly soft scrubber. Let sit for 5-10 minutes to soak into the fabric, then scrub again as needed or rinse with warm water.
In the case of this mouse pad I would let it air dry in a breezy spot rather than the laundry dryer. But if you must use the dryer put it on its lowest setting.
Its a little gross, but this mixture is tough enough to get out blood stains. Highly recommend it.
I actually cleaned my mouse mat today after accidentally spilling katsu curry on it ๐ I use a oxy stain remover spray (or the powder mixed with water) and then leave it to dry in the sun and it works great Iโve had issues with mould after putting my old one in the laundry bc it never dried
Sun. Especially for tomato and berry stains. If you get direct sun light somewhere, leave it in the sun for like an hour and check on the stain, if it’s still there leave for a bit longer. Just don’t leave it to sit there for 6 hours or your colours will be gone too.
This also works for clothing btw. Hence clothes dried outside are usually cleaner, sun is an excellent stain remover!
I have cannibis dabs like sticky bits on one of mine ๐ญWhatever u do just donโt run it in the machine all my boobie mousepads and levi akerman with a fat ass are destroyed because i thought they were machine washable ๐ญ silly me but dish soap spot treatment and a scrubber
My mousepad is pink and frequently takes a bath in dish soap and gets a good brushing lol
