I played diablo 4 n absolutely LOVED playing as a strong berserking barbarian woman that dove into combat and went thru big demons.
I was wondering if there were any other games that let u play as a barbarian n feel real powerful n not worry bout sneaking or anything like that. Rly only want to play as a woman bc diablo was the only time i felt connected to that class.
Thx!
Baldurs gate 3
Itβs fun playing as a Barb (strength build with club) in Elden Ring! Also, Nepheli Loux is an awesome barbarian NPC
In Heroes of the Storm you can play as Sonya (from the diablo 3 universe), which I am pretty sure is the exact character depicted in this picture.
Diablo 3 lol
Cyberpunk 2077 you can play a female V with gorilla fists and just beat everyone’s face in
Dragon Age: Origins, you can play a warrior that truly scratches the power fantasy itch
Skyrim, an orc in heavy armor with a two-handed weapon feels great
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey or Valhalla, there’s not really that much stealth involved, and the female protags are nice and beefy and badass
I’ve recently gotten in to Guild Wars 2. You can make a barbarian style Norn on there.
Try Wayfinder. I just picked it up and there is a gloriously beefy barbarian boss ass bitch unlockable character named Senja (you can unlock her pretty quickly but isn’t available as a starter character). It originally was planned as an MMO but now it is an arpg solo/co-op game (and all the better for it).
In World of Warcraft, you can play as a warrior. Night elf women are seven feet tall. Orcs of both sexes look brutal.
DKs use diseases, and paladins use holy power, so I donβt consider them brute force classes.
I love her
I recommend elderborn. Its a short but sweet doom-esque game, but only with melee combat. And you can of course play as a female barbarian.
I have not played Hellblade yet, but I did buy it because the lead character is a Celtic warrior who has to challenge Hela to recover the soul of her dead lover. It’s a bit of a different take on a barbarian, but I’m sure her people would have been called such by “civilized” people.
Both pathfinder games are pretty good and have Barbarian available as a class you can pick in the character creation!
If you enjoyed Diablo, I always recommend path of exile, it’s my favourite build-a-class workshop. The women in the game are rather skinny, but you can still make a slam skill work on any of them, hit the ground and the screen explodes. None of them are dainty in personality either, ranger was just a live off the land hermit exiled for stealing animals off farms. Scion was exiled for murdering her husband in self defense on their wedding night. The witch burned a town’s children after they burned her home and is pretty power hungry.
