I got a ROG Ally Z1 on discount– $250 vs $499– as an auxiliary machine. I have an Xbox that's my main player, this is mostly for when I want to be on the go or game in a different place in my house 🙂
But goddamn finding accessories that aren't black, white or clear was hard. The purple case and cute thumbsticks were about what I could get together, and I had to make some concessions– and my carry case is black, because I couldn't find something that would also keep the AC cord along with it that wasn't black.
And just in general– I got a new phone, most all of the cases from better brands are black. I was shopping for a wireless Xbox headset, the things I wanted (wireless, with Bluetooth)… Only black headsets.
Like it doesn't need to be all pink or over the top cutesy, but… Teal? Purple? Just some colors please 😭

The kitty thumb covers came in a set of two, so my Xbox controller also got a facelift. I do appreciate that the Xbox controllers– even the elites now, in the Core config or by customizing– have colorful options.
Gaming accessories are such a pain (aesthetically lol)! Everything is either that same shade of GAMER RED, or black/white. It’s always so odd to me because I distinctly remember Xbox doing a giveaway collab with Opi Nails, and there was decent pushback that they weren’t being sold generally!
It’s always hard to find something aesthetically pleasing and of good quality, and usually you have to settle for one or the other when it comes to gaming peripherals. It always surprises me because uniquely-designed/colorful controllers, headsets, keyboards, etc. always get eaten up so quickly, so demand is definitely there!
