Very curious to see how this turns out. I put a few hundred hours into Slay the Spire, but once I got all the achievements and beat A20 heart on all characters (on Steam originally, then did it all over again on PS4 when I was away from my computer over summer), I was not inspired to continue playing, when the only remaining goal was to continue improving and win more frequently.
Slay the Spire was groundbreaking… but there’s been a lot of other deck-building video games since – I wonder if they’ll be inspired by some of the best ideas from these other games, and use them, putting their own spin on them.

I can’t even beat the heart with The Watcher. I’ve gotten so close only one time and every other time it’s just a total smack down lol

I love Slay the Spire. It got me into roguelikes, without it I might have never touched Hades or Deadcells.
