I'm been thinking on building a girly and aesthetic setup for some time now and i been considering diferent color palettes. The most solid ideas i have is pink with green. I love to see the girly setups in pastles and soft colors. Looks so soothing and i think it will help me feel more calm and chill. I play rank games and sometimes tilt.
Here is the thing. I never been a pink kinda girl myself. I like dark deep colors to wear but a setup in those tones tends to look "masculine" and agresive. So im having some identity crisis planing this area. I tell myself that the environment doesn't have to match my personal aesthetic. What is your opinion girls?

Hey OP, I’m another girl that prefers deep colours and isn’t much for pink. Just choose what you like. Do your femininity your way. It doesn’t have to be light and pink to be feminine, and being dark doesn’t have to be unfeminine. Dark colours absolutely can be feminine.

A lot of aesthetic and pink set-up gear is not high quality. (Looking at you, Razer and Autofull). A lot of brands will overcharge, because of the aesthetic. Not every brand, of course, but better quality will have its price
I replaced almost all of my things with higher quality stuff, but now my entire setup is black
Another thing: Bright colors (like pink) can be straining on the eyes. Well, at least for me. I had everything pink, multiple LEDs, decorations. The epitome of “cute, pink aesthetic setup”. In the end, I removed most of it because I found it really distracting and overwhelming

Very “feminine.” I think gendered ideas are very, very subjective. You can just do whatever you want and make it yours.

Personally I think your home (when you have a choice about it) should be in colors and styles you enjoy looking at, that make you feel comfortable and at home.
If you make your space according to someone else’s extremely narrow idea of what a woman is supposed to like, will you even feel like you belong there? I’m not a fan of pink myself so I know I wouldn’t. And pink surroundings won’t help you tilt less, especially if you don’t actually like them.
Femininity is so much more than the child-like pink baby girl thing, and no, dark or deep colors doesn’t have to give a masculine impression. You can put any number of more personal and feminine touches on it. Just the fact that there was a consistent theme or color scheme would make it look feminine honestly, at least to me.
Like most folks here, I say pick the colors you like regardless of what’s “girly” If you want some more traditionally feminine details (though I firmly believe that most of what is traditionally fem/masc is all made up anyways), there’s plenty of ways to do so using shapes, textures, or other decor than just colors. Take Gothic Lolita clothing/styles as an example – few people would describe the aesthetic as masculine in spite of the dark colors.
If you want pastels because you find them soothing and think you’d be in a better headspace for gaming because of that, that’s fine, too. But I wouldn’t make the call based off of perceived femininity, I’d make it based off of what you like most.
(FWIW, I think the first image you posted has my favorite of the palettes. The darker green with the pinks is gorgeous)
I love how organized and planned out ahead of time you are about this. I want to do the same thing!
I thought I wanted a really girly set up bc I see that all the time on TikTok etc but realized I’d feel overwhelmed with a bunch of knickknacks and stuff, so decided that I would go more simple.
I ended up with a white desk, a light green keyboard mat, a light wooden monitor stand, and then I have a couple shelves that I can put plants and pictures on etc. I feel like I can customize it enough by changing my monitor background/LED backlighting strip that I don’t get bored (bc that’s my other problem – I can’t commit one style bc I inevitably will want to change it soon).
I just redid our living room to a similar color scheme as the color palettes you posted. The dark verdant green looks sooo good with a soft pink and I have lots of cherry blossom themed decor.
I was a tom boy growing up, so having a mostly pink living room is a big switch, but I love it. Looking at our accent wall painted in “Country Squire” makes me so happy.

I think it’s more the style of furniture in dark colors that would make this read masculine. Maybe take a look at art nouveau architecture, it has a lot of deep greens, sort of rusty pinks, deep reds combined with interesting architecture designs tons of florals and asymmetrical whorls definitely lends it to read more feminine. Alternative to that look at other design styles and fit the colors in there. Light academia style room would also work well with that color palette.
I did mine in teals (favorite color), black, dark brown, dark wood tones, golds, and reds. It’s kind of dark academic??
I have this [painting](https://www.etsy.com/listing/1212451089/a-sacrifice-of-folly-limited-edition) in a gold frame behind my set up. Many people turn their nose up at it, but I like what I like.
I also thought about using pinks to match the teals but in an era of custom keyboard caps and DIY, I sought to get shit I knew I’d love and not just like.
People are always surprised by my house because I dress pretty alternative, each outfit I wear has elements of masculinity and femininity and I would classify myself as feeling more masculine than feminine inside.
However, whilst black is my favourite colour to wear, my favourite decor is pink. My entire house is different tones of pink with pastel greens and blues. Being surrounded by light, airy colours is good for the mind and I’ve found when I’ve tried to dress my house like I dress myself, I feel more glum.
At the end of the day, we like what we like and our house aesthetic doesn’t have to align to our outfit aesthetic. They’re all just different parts of us.
