I’ve honestly never considered anything like this; for the games I play the soundtracks are generally good, and feel like part of the experience. Plus, they fit the tone of what’s going on in the story, which an external playlist can’t really do.
I can’t listen music at gaming because i’m the typical person who loves to hear in a videogame the ambient, footsteps, voice, music etc Even with multiplayer games. The More immersive sounds, more confy for me!
Do you know when for example you are walking in Skyrim at night and you hear your footsteps, with that music….its a magical sensation!

I don’t always listen to music while I’m playing a game because I play a lot of narrative driven games and want to see and hear what is going on and being said. But I also play games where I don’t need to listen to the dialogue/story so when I play those I tend to listen to my soundtrack playlist, but I also have several non-soundtrack playlists that I might listen to depending on my mood.
