I love my kitty. I would likely take a bullet for my kitty (or my doggo, but that’s a separate conversation); but if that lovely bundle of fur settles atop my expensive gaming rig…he gets a wee squirt from the spray bottle.
I have only ever had to squirt him thrice; there have been no further incursions. 😁
(Plus, I got him a lovely compartmented/semi-demolished cardboard box to play/nap in near the computer. He loves it.) 💖
He insists on curling up on my arm and keyboard at least once a day. I ended up having to create a “CAT” profile for my keyboard. It makes my chill, breathing purple and blue, functional keyboard to a flashing orange and red keyboard where all (except the profile switch) keys are disabled.
Chances are they just love you & want to be included in whatever your doing. If you got an old keyboard or monitor kicking around try placing it near/next to where your set up is & see what happens.
Their probably sleeping ON your rig because modern (post-2015 or so) PCs put out enough heat to warm a small greenhouse in December so it’s probably a very comfortable sleeping spot for them. A heated blanket/catbed placed within a companionable distance (arms reach) or faster results cautiously use a spray bottle of water.
